This September, Reykjavik invites the AGI members to attend this year’s congress set against Icelandic singular landscape and deep creative traditions.
Registration and welcome drinks will be held on the evening of Sunday, September 27, followed by AGI Congress and AGI Open.
You’ll be immersed in Iceland’s vibrant culture and singular natural environment. There will be studio visits to artists and craftspeople, expertly guided excursions through the dramatic terrain, Reykjavik’s nightlife (if you’re into that), lonely walks (if you’re into that), and lots of opportunities for informal gatherings to catch up with old and new friends — all thoughtfully programmed to reflect Iceland’s heritage, openness, and ongoing dialogue between craft, nature, and contemporary practice. There might also be some elves sightings.
The full program will be announced here on the AGI website in the coming months and will feature keynote talks, once-in-a-lifetime nature experiences, music, and opportunities for in-depth exchange with locals and your AGI family.
Early bird tickets, along with hotel partnerships, will be released in March. Please save the dates and stay tuned for further details.
We can’t wait to welcome you to Iceland—and Hjalti is so very excited to show you where he grew up.
Warm regards from the entire AGI Iceland team.
